Ruth “Ruthie” Lunsford is from Charlottesville, VA, and joined Delta Strategy Group in August 2024. Ruth provides comprehensive coverage and analysis of legislative, regulatory, and political developments affecting financial and derivatives markets, with a particular focus on CFTC actions and emerging market issues. She develops in-depth policy briefings, regulatory analyses, and research to help clients navigate federal policy developments and inform strategic engagement on issues affecting market participants, risk management, and market structure.
Before joining Delta Strategy Group, Ruth graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Sewanee: The University of the South with a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Rhetoric, and Civic and Global Leadership. During her time at Sewanee, Ruth was a National Bonner Scholar and Burkett-Miller Public Policy Fellow. She served as Director of the Office of Civic Engagement’s Business Development and Marketing Team and received the Sewanee Service Internship Award.
